Well, another trip around the sun and here we are again. It’s the differences in the trips around the sun that make wine and life special. From a wine point of view, I have the most amazing renewal each year. Each year, I am going to make the best wine I have ever made … no fuck that, the best wine Australia has ever made, no the best wine in the world! Hope springs eternal with its endless annual cycle in the wine world and with the 2023 vintage being released this year I think it represents our best wines ever. We also have a new wine this year, something which I didn’t think I would do with Nocturne a few years ago. However, some single vineyard sites are special and they kinda have a personality that needs framing, celebrating if you will. As such you might see at least with our chardonnays a few more of these in the coming years but here goes for the first double down of sea breeze flavoured dreams. As you know, Nocturne is comprised of two wine ranges. The Single Vineyard or SV range and the Sub Regional or SR range. Our SV Sheaok Cabernet and SV Forrest chardonnay remain as ever awesomely epic expressions of the best sites in Margaret River. This year we add in the Wilson Vineyard from Wallcliffe, why obviously as its epic too. The SR range, well its pretty awesome so awesome in fact, that it will make your pants tight.

SR5 – So Six vintages into the Sub Regional range. These wines have not just come of age, they are defining their own direction and verve . I see this range as Margaret River at its finest. Complex and compelling, at the same time accessible and very, very enjoyable.

SV9 – Limited as ever and 100% allocated these days, Allocations have gotten very tight. We have had to implement a new system for our mail list looking after our longest standing and best customers for these wines. If you get a letter you know who you are, if you don’t get the letter please still make a request on your order form if there is any allocated stock not picked up it will be first in best dressed.
